Jersey City Theater Center’s 2020 Voices Festival
The Jersey City Theater Center will be presenting the 2nd Annual 2020 Voices International Theatre Festival, a 10-day virtual event hosting 24 productions from Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and the United States, which will run from October 16 to October 25.
A Show of Solidarity
Magnum Photos, a storied agency with a history dating back to 1947, is working with legendary fashion magazine Vogue to raise funds for the NAACP. Solidarity, a limited-time sale of six-inch square prints, features powerful photographs that emphasize the theme of solidarity in tumultuous times, including historic photos from the battle for Black civil rights in the 1960s and images from today’s continuation of that struggle.
DIRTY SECRET II at The Invisible Dog
DIRTY SECRET II at The Invisible Dog in Brooklyn was a mental journey through consumption, the macabre and over-indulgence. It was entirely interactive, subversive and transformative. Four femme masked performers sloshed about, indulging in gluttonous behavior, getting live tattoo’d and consuming the “American dream” to an original industrial soundscape by renowned artist Brian Wenner of Prism House and accompanying video projections.
